Edith L. Deitzel

Edith L. Deitzel, 70, of Catawba Island, died Friday, February 01, 2008 at her daughters residence. Edith was born on January 17, 1938 in Port Clinton, OH to Donald and Bertha Leach Witter. On August 13, 1960, in LaCarne, OH, she married Donald Deitzel, who preceded her in death on June 07, 2001. Edith was a homemaker. She loved gardening, growing roses, crafts, reading, cooking and was a collector of cookbooks. Edith loved spending time with her family, especially granddaughter Allie. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: Daughters: Lisa Deitzel of Catawba Island and Donna Veverka of Catawba Island; Brother: George Witter of Port Clinton; Granddaughter: Allie Veverka; Step-Parents: George Coletta Walls of Catawba Island and many loving nieces and nephews. Edith was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Visitation will be 2-4 6-8PM, Friday, February 08, 2008 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00AM, Saturday, February 09, 2008 in the funeral home, where there will be visitation one hour prior to the service.
