Edith M. Colbeck, age 100, passed away Tuesday April 23, 2013 at her residence at West Park Place. The daughter of Harry and Anna McMannis, she was born July 10, 1912 in Delmont, PA. She married Samuel C. Colbeck on July 10, 1937 and they resided in Pittsburgh until retiring in 1977 when they moved to On Top of the World in Clearwater, FL. While in Clearwater, she was very active with Trinity Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed taking walks, playing bingo, line dancing and singing in the Choir at On Top of the World. Seven years ago she moved to Toledo to be closer to her sister at West Park Place. She could often be seen still playing bingo at West Park Place. She is survived by her daughter, Judith Roberts; son, Samuel Colbeck; sisters, Olive Hull of Toledo, Gloria Marshall of Jamestown, NY; nieces, Peg Smith, Kara Houser all of Toledo, Erin Sample formerly of Toledo; great nephew, Connor Houser of Toledo; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and 13 nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband; sisters, Winifred Stoehr, Ethel Bricker; brothers, Lester and Clyde McMannis. Friends may visit the family on Saturday from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave west of Corey Rd where services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday. Her niece, Rev. Tammy Yeager of Pittsburgh, will be officiating. Edith will be buried in Palm Harbor, FL at Curlew Hills.
