Earle W. Davoll, age 83, of Holland, Ohio died Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Toledo Hospital. He was born October 22, 1929 in Toledo, Ohio to William and Arletta (Wyllys) Davoll and on October 23, 1950 he married Novelda Lavalette. Earle was a Veteran of the United States Army serving our country during the Korean War. He was employed 35 years by Owens Illinois as a Supervisor in the Print Department, retiring in 1984. Earle attended Holland Free Methodist Church where he was active in the radio room broadcasting through WPOS. He also sang in the church choir and served as a church teller. Earle loved music of any kind and learned to play the organ late in life. He and his family enjoyed many vacations camping throughout most of the 50 states. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Novelda M. Davoll; daughters, Denise M. (Donald) Graham and Barbara J. Rice; grandchildren, Corey (Jenny) Rice and Kelly A. (Brandon) Jett; brother, Roy Davoll as well as his sister, Phyllys Wend. Earle was preceded in death by his parents, William and Arletta and also by his sister, Shirley Self. Friends will be received on Monday from 10-11:00 A.M. in Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway in Holland (419-865-8879) where funeral services will follow at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Keith Simpson, officiating. Burial will follow at Springfield Township Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Holland Free Methodist Church.
