On October 27 th , 2021, the world said farewell to a great man. Dr. Earl F. Johnson, Jr. was born in Oklahoma City in 1943. He was a lifelong Sooners fan as he graduated both undergrad and medical school at the University of Oklahoma. He joined the armed forces as a medical officer where he was stationed in Panama. It was there he learned to fly as well as honed his pinball skills. He completed his residency in Toledo, Ohio where he became one of the first specialized emergency medicine physicians. He moved to Beaumont, Texas where he practiced for 35 years, saving countless lives.
He loved puzzles, board games, juggling, fishing, shooting, throwing knives, kayaking, flying kites, traveling, woodworking, and any activity requiring skill and an active mind. He could invariably find a four-leaf clover in every patch. He was always an adopter of new technologies, constantly finding ways to make himself smarter, faster, and more effective. Most important to him, however, was his family. He is survived by his brother, Eric, his three sons, David, Dustin, and Hunter, along with seven grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.
There will be a memorial service held for Earl at 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 30, 2022, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West Street, Genoa, Ohio. Interment will take place in the Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com.
