Earl Early

February 22, 1942 — April 22, 2025

Earl Early, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on April 22, 2025, at the age of 83.

Born on February 22, 1942, Earl grew up with a strong sense of independence and a naturally outgoing spirit. He carried those traits throughout his life, forging meaningful connections wherever he went and embracing every opportunity for adventure.

For 55 years, Earl was happily married to the love of his life, Elaine, until her passing in 2019. Together, they shared countless memories, many of them made during their travels. Earl especially enjoyed visiting casinos and many camping trips with Elaine.

Family was always Earl’s highest priority. He enjoyed attending many of the sporting events of his grandchildren.

Earl was also a deeply committed member of the Sylvania Moose, finding purpose and camaraderie in his involvement with the organization. He also gave his time as a volunteer firefighter for Whiteford Township. His dedication to service and community mirrored the loyalty he showed his family and friends throughout his life.

Earl will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and the steady, loving presence he brought to those lucky enough to know him.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Dollie Early; wife, Elaine Early; brother, George Early; and grandson, Jason Williamson. He is survived by his daughters, Yvonne Williamson and Debbie (Tim) Iott; brother-in-law Frank (Nancy) Grooms; grandchildren, Shannon Williamson, Nicole Williamson, Courtney Iott, Mitchel Iott, and Cameron Iott; and eight great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Sylvania Moose Lodge, 6072 Main St, Sylvania, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Earl resided at the Hampton Manor of Bedford for the last nine months of his life. His family would like to extend special thanks to the staff there for their excellent care and kindness for Earl.
