Earl D. Davis

Earl D. Davis, 75, of Marblehead, OH, passed away March 12, 2012 at the Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus, OH. He was born in Stone, KY on April 09, 1936, the son of Charles and Fanny Grace Lay Davis. Earl worked as a fork lift operator for General Motors. On September 30, 1965 he married Mary Davis and she preceded him in death on November 17, 2004. Earl was a veteran of the U. S. Airforce, having served during the Korean War. He was a member of the UAW Local #969 in Columbus, OH, American Legion #83 and Amvets #17 both of Sandusky, OH and a member of the V.F.W. Stanley Jadwisiak Post #7572 of Marblehead, OH. Survivors include: Son: Robert Kathy Davis of Grove City, OH; Grandson: Christopher Robert Davis and Granddaughter: Tiffany Marie Davis; Brothers: Buddy Davis of Juno, AK, Glenn Paulette Davis of Milan, MI, Don Bonnie Davis of Plain City, OH and Claude Jeri Davis of Reynoldsburg, OH. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughters: Ruth Ann Davis and Carolyn Sue Davis, sister: Phyllis Teschler and brother: Forrest Davis. Cremation has taken place under the direct care of Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial contributions in memory of Earl, may be given to the American Cancer Society.
