Earl Thomas Burden

Earl Thomas Burden (Tom), 65, of Toledo, passed away at Mercy Health — St. Vincent Medical Center, October 23, 2024.

Tom was born on June 11, 1959, to Earl and Patsy Burden. He was the oldest of six children. Tom was an avid sports fan and loved watching The Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Minnesota Vikings. Tom was a well-known coach in East Toledo having coached football, baseball, and basketball for many years.

He was married to Cheryl (Biddle) Burden who he leaves to cherish his memory. He is also survived by their children: Chad (Richelle) Biddle; Brad (Cristina) Burden; Josh (Angela) Burden; and Vann (Brittney) Burden. He will be missed by sisters Donna; Brenda (Ireland); and his younger brother, Robert; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Tom was proceeded in death by his parents Earl and Patsy; brother Gerald: sister Susan; and grandson Vann Alan Burden II.

Visitation for Tom will be 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at the Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH. Memorial contributions in memory of Tom may be given in care of the family. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com.
