Duane Hall, born July 30, 1931 passed away peacefully at his home on July 15, 2015. After graduating from DeVilbiss High School In 1949, he started his career in the building industry at Mayfair Lumber. He built his first house in 1955 which started a 50 year career in the building business. Duane also spent 20 years as a Sylvania Township Auxiliary Officer and a Lucas County Special Deputy. Duane was a former member of Toledo Yacht Club and The Zenobia Shrine (Arab Patrol). In recent years Duane came to enjoy the many friends he made at Café Donuts. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Rose; daughter, Susan Dale Pugh;   parents, Harry & Selma Hall; sister, Betty; brother, Dale; and special companion Mary Jane Richards. Duane is survived by his son Thomas Sr. (Penny) Hall; son-in-law, John Pugh; grandchildren Thomas Jr. (Amanda) Hall, Keri Hall, Matthew (Jody) Pugh and Amy Pugh; great-grandchildren Kirby (Shine) Walker, Madelynne, Hannah, Nathaniel and Olivia Hall & soon to be ‘Baby Pugh’; and great-great-grandchildren; Caeden & Caeley Walker. To honor Duane’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. Walker Funeral Home has been entrusted with final arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society, The American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.   Condolences may be shared with the family at www.walkerfuneralhome.com.
