Duane Paul Bode Berry

Duane Paul “Bode” Berry age 83 of Maumee, Ohio passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, August 1, 2015. He was born in Perrysburg, OH on July 26, 1932 to Edward and Mary (Savory) Berry. Duane was a clerk at Panhandle Eastern Pipeline for many years until his retirement. Duane was a graduate of Maumee High School where he excelled in baseball, football and basketball. He was inducted into the Maumee High School Sports Hall of Fame. He was a member of the Maumee Elks and Tanglewood Golf Course where he was an avid golfer. Surviving are his children, Stephen, Robert and Linda Berry; granddaughters, Elycia (Dr. Bryan Ward) and Colleen (Brett Slakin) and brother, Jack (Carol) Berry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Janet; daughter, Kathy Taylor and brothers, Robert, Richard and William Pringle. Family and friends will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee, OH on Friday, August 7, 2015 from 2-8 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Maumee. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio 30000 E.
