Drew A. Cleghorn

Drew left us suddenly following a tragic accident on Friday, June 22. He brightened our lives since the day he was born on September 5, 1992 to Traci Jenkins and Thad Cleghorn. Being the oldest of six children, he was a tremendous help to his mother and the best big brother that any family could hope for. He loved his siblings and they adored him in return. Left to miss his guidance and love are Dalton, Drake, Devon, Delaney and Danielle. Drews dimpled smile would light up the room and he leaves behind scores of friends that will always keep him in their hearts and memories, especially his life-long friend Jordan Salhoff and the Goonies. Drew excelled at everything he attempted, often through hard work and determination. He was an All-District linebacker at Maumee High School where he graduated in 2010. He had just completed his sophomore year at the University of Toledo where he was on the Deans List all four semesters. While attending UT full-time, he worked nights full-time at Fed Ex where his work ethic was twice rewarded with Employee of the Month. He loved the Maumee Little League where he continued to umpire after his playing days were done. Drew is survived by his maternal grandparents, Tim and Patricia Ducey Jenkins. Also his maternal aunt and uncle, Justin and Tiffany Hickerson and their two sons, Ryan and Cody. His second cousins Patrick, Bradley, and Matthew Ducey. On His fathers side, he leaves grandparents Ed and Sharon Pfleghaar Cleghorn. Aunts and uncles: Kim and Mark Karchner, Ellen and Don Clark, and Todd and Lisa Cleghorn. Cousins: Kendall, Brendan and Evan Karchner, and Ryan, Dylan, Kaylin and Jayson Cleghorn. The family would like to express their appreciation for the outpouring of support and generosity of friends and extended family Visitation will be Tuesday June 26, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home in Maumee, Ohio with Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday June 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Maumee.
