Douglas Schreiner-Forthome

Douglas Schreiner-Forthome, age 49, of Maumee, Ohio passed away on Monday, September 16, 2019 at St. Lukes Hospital.  Doug graduated from Start High School and was an assembler at Lott Industries.  He was a member of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church and enjoyed bowling, watching sports and swimming.  Doug was also an award winner at the Special Olympics.  He will always be remembered for the smile that he always had. Doug is survived by his mother, Pat Forthome, aunts and uncles, Mary Ann (John) Eckhart, Tom (Darnell) Forthome, Kathleen Campbell and Joe (Sylvia) Forthome, many cousins and special friend, Jacky.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Norman and Frances Forthome. The family would like to thank the staff at the Sunshine Community, especially Margie and his nurse Pam for all the love and care that they showed Doug. Per the familys wishes services will be private and burial will take place at a later date in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Maumee, Ohio.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Sunshine Childrens Home
