Douglas W. Retzke

Douglas W. Retzke, 64, of Perrysburg, died suddenly after an accident on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. Doug was born in Toledo to Lester and Ellen (Parrot) Retzke on March 19, 1953. He married Erika Homolya on June 9, 1979. Doug worked for Chrysler for more than 30 years as an Engineer. He loved the outdoors, especially boating and fishing. He also enjoyed remodeling. Above all else, Doug loved being a grandfather more than anything. Doug is survived by his loving wife, Erika; son, Jason (Jessica) Retzke; grandchildren, Campbell and Cole Retzke; siblings, John (Lisa) Retzke, Jim (Susan) Retzke, Sandy (Charles) Kasten; many nieces; nephews; and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133), with a Memorial Service beginning at 3:00 P.M. Burial will be private.
