Douglas L. Oldham

Douglas L. Oldham, 55, of Williston, Ohio, died Monday, January 21, 2013, in the Luther Home of Mercy, Williston. Doug was born May 17, 1957, in Toledo, Ohio, to Beauford W. and Beverly J. Puhl Oldham. He was truly an angel among us. Once you saw his big smile, he had you hooked. Yes, Doug liked to fish, especially on the beautiful pond at the Luther Home of Mercy, where he lived for the past 22 years. He also enjoyed Karaoke singing and music, bowling and talking to people. Doug worked at Lott Industries in Toledo from 1978-1990 before moving to the Luther Home and then worked at Riverview Industries for four years. Doug was a member of St. Joseph Parish Church in Sylvania, Ohio. Doug is survived by his mother, Beverly Bev J. Weikinger of Millbury, sisters, Linda Laser Oldham Steiner of St. Petersburg, FL, and Brenda Oldham Piasecki Mark of Napoleon, brothers, Michael Mike Oldham Alice of Columbus and Toby Oldham of Largo, FL, 12 nieces and nephews and 15 great nieces and nephews, as well as his extended family at the Luther Home of Mercy. His dad, William Bill, and step dad, Donald Don Weikinger, preceded him in death. Visitation will be 8:30-10:00 a.m., Friday, January 25, 2013, in the chapel at the Luther Home of Mercy, 5810 N. Main St., Williston, with the funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. A graveside service at St. Joseph Cemetery, Ravine Drive in Sylvania, will be held at 11:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials for Doug may be given to the Luther Home of Mercy, 5810 N. Main St., P.O. Box 187, Williston, OH 43468. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, Ohio, has assisted the family with arrangements.
