In loving memory of Rev. Douglas Blake Jones, 82, of Northwood, OH, has graciously gone home to be with the Lord on May 10th at 8:30 pm. He was a coal miners son, born on September 23, 1930 in Farmington, WV to Oney Lee Jones and Edith Marie Davis. He was raised on a farm in Farmington, WV and attended Farmington local schools. Douglas married Jean Ann Jones and moved to Ohio where he was a machine operator for Powertrain for nearly 40 years. Douglas received Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of 33, and answered the call to be a minister. He attended Toledo Bible College and became pastor of Harmony Baptist Church. Douglas was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Ann; parents, Oney and Edith; siblings, Sam, Lee, Lyndie, and Kate. He is survived by his only child, Miss Patricia Ann Jones; 3 grandchildren, Debbie Kay Weaver, Gary Lynn Sobczak Jr., and Michael Douglas Barnes; 4 great-grandchildren, Sarah Michele and Kristen Sue Barnes of Luna Pier, MI, and David Steven Weaver III and DarylAnn Kay Weaver of Punta Gorda, FL. The family will receive friends at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave., on Tuesday, May 14 from 3-8 pm, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 15 at 11 am. Interment will take place at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmington, WV.
