Douglas Lester Johnson Douglas Lester Johnson, 73, of Toledo, OH passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at St. Charles Hospital. He was born on July 26, 1944 in Toledo to Lester B. and Trecy O. (Newland) Johnson. Doug was a 1962 graduate of Rogers High School where he served as Vice President of his class and was very active in the reunion committee. He worked as a computer programmer for over 14 years for Campbell Soup before retiring in 2011 and most recently for the YMCA. Doug enjoyed boating and fishing as well as bowling but will fondly be remembered for his margaritas, which he loved to make for everyone. Doug is survived by his loving children, Donald D. (Chrys) Johnson, Wendy S. (Keith) Cherry and Deena J. (Robert) Knappins; step-children, Jason (Kandy) Boney and Julie (Gary Quaintance) Boney; grandchildren, Christopher, Bridget, Garrison, Lauryn, Stephanie, T’Ann, Jenna, Cassidy, Averie, Little Rob, Monica, Rachael, Annabelle and Sadie; 9 great grandchildren; special friends, the Miley and Gilley families; and beloved dog, Lincoln. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm in Neville-Shank Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, OH 43528 (419-865-8879) where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 10:00 am.
