Douglas Dewayne Hicks

Douglas Dewayne Hicks, 68, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Sunday, May 27, 2018, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH. Doug was born on October 12, 1950 in Genoa, OH, the son of Aaron and Cecilia (Pursley) Hicks. He was a graduate of Cory Rawson High School and then attended then attended Cosmetology College in Los Angeles, CA and became a hair dresser. Doug was a veteran of the U. S Navy, during the Vietnam War. He married Tim Kingery Hicks and they spent 37 years together. Those left to cherish his memory are: Husband: Tim Kingery Hicks; Children: Timothy Hicks, Kaite Hicks, Nathan Hicks and Alexis Hicks; 2 Grandchildren; Brothers: Don Hicks and Terry Hicks. Doug loved fishing, boating and online games. But most off all he loved his family and spending time with them. Doug was preceded in death by his brother: Tom Hicks. A Celebration of Life will be held from 10am to 11am, Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH, followed by the Memorial service at 11:00.
