Douglas A. Hale

Douglas A. 'Doug' Hale, age 58, formerly of Ventura, CA passed away unexpectedly on October 23, 2015. He is survived by his brother, Gregory; sister-in-law, Elizabeth; niece, Megan DiCresce; nephew-in-law, Thomas DiCresce; great-nieces, Faye and Ava DiCresce; aunt, Marilyn (Hale) Gottschalk; special cousin, Tom Roth; his loving extended Lucio family; as well as his favorite cat, Buddy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Faye and Arthur Hale. Doug was a 1975 graduate of Whitmer High School. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and the U.S. Air Force reserve. Doug loved sports, especially NASCAR. He was a very kind man with a big heart and had a generous approach to humanity. His greatest joy was being able to retire back to Ohio to be with his family and watch his great nieces grow up. The family requests that donations be made to charities that promote the advancement and welfare of others to include helpless animals. Friends will be received on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, from 2 to 8 p.m. in Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway in Holland (419-865-8879). Visitation will continue on Thursday, October 29, 2015, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church located, 5522 Dorr Street at Olimphia in Toledo where a Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. Burial with military honors will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery,5725 Hill Ave., Toledo, Ohio 43615
