Douglas Buckley

DOUGLAS BRYAN BUCKLEY, 80 of Oregon, OH formerly Charleston, WV passed away peacefully on February 28, 2023. Doug was born in Charleston on August 14, 1942, to the late Margarete Frazier and Carl Buckley. He attended and graduated from Charleston High School in 1961. Following graduation from high school, Doug proudly enlisted into the U.S. Marine Corps where he served honorably at Camp Lejeune, NC.

Upon his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, Doug returned to Charleston to attend Morris Harvey College. It was during his time at Morris Harvey that he met and married Sharon Douglas on April 10th, 1965.

Doug leaves behind his beautiful wife of 57 years, Sharon Buckley; his sister, Martha Smith of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughter, Stacy Clark (Brad Clark) of Oregon, OH; sons, Heath Buckley (Janice Buckley) of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, and Jason Buckley of Oregon, OH. Doug was blessed with seven grandchildren; Tyler Dunbar, Lauren Clark, Lydia Buckley, Katie Clark, Isabella Buckley, Jack Buckley, Sam Buckley; and one great-grandson, Jackson Dunbar.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Military Memorial to celebrate his life at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at the Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery, 6382 Monroe Street, Sylvania, OH 43560.
