Dorothy Vollmar

Dorothy “Cookie” Vollmar, age 85, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022 in Perrysburg, Ohio. She was born in Fall River, Massachusetts on November 11, 1937 to Manuel and Evangeline Arruda who preceded her in death. She married her husband Don on July 2, 1971 and together they raised their family of three daughters.

Dorothy was an avid reader, and you would rarely catch her without a book nearby. She treasured her five grandchildren and her canine best friend Buddy.

Dorothy is survived by her husband Donald Jr.; children Donna (Bud) Vollmar, Deidre (Joe) Callahan and Dena (Jacob) Moeller; grandchildren Austin (Kass) Callahan, Hannah (Nick) Woodard, Hailey Moeller, Tyler Moeller and Riley Moeller and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her siblings Joe, John, Doris, and Lorraine.

Friends and family will be received Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 1-4 p.m. at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, Ohio (419-874-3133). Visitation will continue Monday, December 19 at 9 a.m. at the funeral home until time of services at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Fort Meigs Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Toledo Humane Society in Dorothy’s name.
