Dorothy Throne

Dorothy C. Throne, age 84, of Toledo was born on September 26, 1922, and passed away at her home on July 17, 2007. Dorothy was born to and preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Maude Martin. Dorothy enjoyed being a homemaker, Girl Scout Leader, and school PTA Leader. She also worked for LaSalle & Koch Department Store in the 1960s. Dorothy and her husband, Richard enjoyed traveling and camping with the Jayco Travel Club. They were members of the National Campers and Hikers Association. They wintered at their home in Clearwater, Florida until 2002. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-five years, Richard. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra K. Richard Fisher; son, Robert L. Candy Throne; grandchildren, Dana Ronald LaBeau, Kelly Michael Homolka, Renee Scott Myers, Nanci Moseley, Brent Tammy Throne; great-grandchildren, Rachel, Evan and Jillian LaBeau, Kaitlyn, Nicholas, Mason and Reagen Homolka, Caleb and Adam Myers, Michael, Jared, Bryce and Grace Moseley, Taylor, Brittani, Haleigh and Nathan Throne; sisters, Shirley Leslie and Pat Hoag and brother, Richard Martin. A special thanks to Dorothys caregivers, Leona, Barb and Brenda. Family and friends may visit Saturday 9 a.m.-1 p.m. with funeral services at 1 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests that memorials and donations be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice for their kind support.
