Dorothy Streib, 93, passed away on January 15 in Altoona, FL. The daughter of George and Eunice Greenwalt, Dorothy lived most of her life in Toledo and the city of Oregon. While raising a family, Dorothy began working full-time at the Toledo Edison in 1953 as a clerk in the accounting department, shortly thereafter enrolling at the University of Toledo to study Business Administration. After earning her MBA, Dorothy was eventually promoted to Supervisor of the Accounts Payable Department at the Edison, becoming the first woman there to obtain a management position. She was also a member and officer of the National Association of Accountants. After retiring to Florida with her husband, Carl Streib, Dorothy enjoyed many interests, including playing the piano and organ giving the occasional concert, travelling, sewing, and photography. Dorothy was preceded in death by husband Carl; siblings Beverly Graalman, Mary Hagedorn, and William Greenwalt; daughter Judith Gruenwald Epstein; and granddaughter Miriam Epstein. Dorothy is survived by daughters Lynda Robert Wolfe and Marcia Gene King, step-daughter Karen Hamilton, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step grand/great-grand children. Showing will be at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 West Sylvania Avenue, Toledo 43623, on Thursday Jan 21 from 2 4 and 6 8, where services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, Jan 22.
