Dorothy J. Schriefer

Dorothy A. Schriefer age 89, a resident of Sunset Village passed away Saturday May 22, 2010. She was born February 6, 1921 in Toledo Ohio to Edward and Margaret Quilter. She married Gerald Schriefer on July 26, 1947 and together they raised seven children. Dorothy enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren. The widow of Gerald Schriefer, she was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter Rosemary Smalldon; son-in-law Steve Baldwin; brothers Mance, Edward and Jim Quilter; sisters Mary Lenahan and Marty Delp; and sister in law Mildred Murphy. Dororthy is survived by her children LouEllyn Baldwin, Beth Greg Oehlers, Dorothy Schober, Jerry Cindy Schriefer, Tom Linda Schriefer and Maria Bill Gargac; 23 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and sister Patricia Bob Seaman. The family will receive friends at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey on Wednesday May 26th after 3 PM where memorial services will follow at 7 PM. The family would like to thank the staff at Sunset Village for the wonderful care given to their mom and suggests any memorials in Dorothys name be given to the Sunset Village Employee Appreciation Fund c/o Sunset Village 9640 Sylvania-Metamora Rd.
