Dorothy J. Sack

Dorothy June Sack, age 82, of Maumee, passed away November 14, 2024, at her home with her loving family by her side. Dorothy was born March 1, 1942, in Peoria, Ill. To the late LaVerne and Beatrice Ruth (Mohn) Monroe. She married the love of her life, Donald Sack, on November 5, 1969. Together they enjoyed more than 50 years of marriage before his death on December 22,2020. She was a hairdresser for more than 30 years in both Illinois and Ohio.

In her free time, Dorothy enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family at the cottage in Michigan and watching The Waltons, Little House on the Prairie, and Hallmark movies. She will also be remembered for her strong will and terrific sense of humor.

Surviving are her loving daughters, Angela (Douglas) Fisher and Nicole (Phil) Cook; siblings, Bette (Charles) Scott, Carol “Pink” Monroe, and Kathy Janssen. Dorothy was also preceded in death by siblings, Connie Monroe, Joanne Fore, and Charles Monroe; and brothers-in-law, Randy Janssen and Donald Fore.

Family and friends will be received in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee, from 5-7 pm, Monday, November 18, 2024, and from 10 am until the time of funeral services at 11 am on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. Interment will follow at Roth Memorial Cemetery, Monclova.
