Dorothy M. Rigoni

Dorothy M. Rigoni, 85, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away on, Monday evening, November 19, 2007 in the Lutheran Memorial Home, Sandusky, OH. She was born on November 8, 1922 in Roswell, New Mexico, the daughter of Robert T. and Mary Weis Brightman. Dorothy worked as a registered nurse for Providence Hospital in Sandusky, Oh for 20 years. She was the instructor for the maternal and newborn nursery. Dorothy was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Altar Rosary Society and the Church Women United. She was a member of the Ohio Nurses Association, the Toledo District Nurses Association and a volunteer for the American Red Cross and Heartbeat of Ottawa County. Dorothy was a Mary Mann Alumnus and a Providence Hospital School of Nursing Alumnus. She will be greatly missed by her loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. Survivors include: Grandsons: Rob Suzan Rigoni and William Janet Rigoni; Great-Grandchildren: Robert Rigoni III, Sevina Rigoni, Gaige Rigoni and Allura Rigoni. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, son: Robert Rigoni and daughter-in-law: Nancy Rigoni. Visitation will be 2-4 6-8PM, Monday, November 26, 2007 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, Port Clinton, OH, where a rosary service will be held at 7:30PM. A prayer service will be held at 9:30AM, Tuesday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted by Father John Missler at 10:00AM, Tuesday, November 27, 2007 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton, OH. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial contributions may be given in memory of Dorothy to the Robert Rigoni Memorial Fund % F.O.P. Lodge #79, Port Clinton, OH.
