Dorothy L. Mitchell

Dorothy L. Mitchell, age 66, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born May 12, 1945 in Toledo to Kenneth and Dorothy Ferguson Kern. Dorothy was employed as a Veterinary Tech for Weaver Animal Hospital in Perrysburg and also was a property manager for Houck Management for over 10 years. She was a devoted mother and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Dorothy was an avid OSU Buckeye fan and also enjoyed Elvis. She was an animal lover, especially cats. Dorothy was a member of Zoar Lutheran Church in Perrysburg. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Robin Michael Merillat; son, Randy Courtney Evener Meyers; grandchildren, Erica, Bradly, Samantha and Sadie; sisters, Patricia Chamberlain and Joan Coldwell; brother, Rodger Brenda Kern and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her brother, Clayton Kern and sister, Joyce Stephenson. Family and friends may visit Monday, June 6, 2011 from 2-8 pm in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee where funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Fort Meigs Cemetery, Perrysburg.
