Dorothy T Kurtz

Dorothy T. Kurtz, 87, formerly of Maumee, OH passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2009 in St. Lukes Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 12, 1922 in Toledo to Jesse and Odelia Burch Anderson. Dorothy was employed by the former Champion Spark Plug for 22 years. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, reading, classic movies and puzzles. A devout Catholic Dorothy was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee. Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Dorothy is survived by her son, Ralph Susan Thomas Kurtz; grandsons, Todd Amy Kurtz and Ryan Kurtz; great granddaughter, Izabella Kurtz; sister, Panthea Travers and former daughter-in-law, Barbara Kurtz. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her sister, Marietta Gladstone. Family and friends may visit Monday, December 7, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, OH. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Maumee.
