Dorothy Ruth Rosenthal Fink, age 90, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013 at the Flower Hospital in Sylvania. Dorothy was born April 27, 1922 in Toledo, Ohio to Henry and Shirley Rosenthal. She married Glenn W. Fink in August of 1944. Dorothy was a homemaker for much of her life but began working for Woolco after her children had grown and eventually retired from there. Together, in retirement, Dorothy and Glenn decided to use her artistic skills and his natural handyman talents to start a wood crafting business. For about ten years, they displayed and sold their goods at craft shows locally and in southwest Michigan. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sylvania. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; daughter, Karen Walters; parents, Henry and Shirley Rosenthal; brother, Richard C. Rosenthol; and sister, Sylvia Collins. She is survived by her son, Gary L. Fink Gail; sister, Shirley Anne Rogers, brother-in-law, Larry Fink Debbie; son-in-law, Howard Walters, II; grandchildren, Howard Walters III Patti, Melissa Mellott Curt, Mathew Walters Karen, Deborah Tyo Timothy, Wendy Hider Scott, Kristine Walter Timothy, and 13 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Oakleaf Village for the loving care and friendship they extended to Dorothy. A funeral mass will be held at11 a.m., on Monday, April 1, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5141 Main St. Sylvania, OH. Interment to follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
