Dorothy Jane Findlay

Dorothy Jane Findlay, age 87, formerly of Toledo passed away peacefully on Saturday July 14, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was born in Jackson, OH on January 23, 1925 to Claude and Opal Irwin Kincade. Dorothy was a past member of Glenwood Lutheran Church, Toledo, OH where she and her husband were active members in the Couples Club. Dorothy was a Girl Scout leader for 25 years in Toledo. Most recently, she was a member of Ocala Methodist Church in Ocala, FL where she sang in the choir, and rang the bells. At On Top of the World Community, she was a senior citizen rockette dancer and a writer for the local paper. She enjoyed quilting, painting, china painting, golfing, cards, games, reading, and traveling. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many, Dorothy will be deeply missed by the many lives she touched. Surviving are her children, Cynthia Tom Findlay Rutherford, Mark Marsha Findlay and Bethann Kevin Reil Findlay Alexander. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul D. Findlay; brother, Eugene Kincade and her sister, Vivian Kincade Knox. Family and friends will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St. Maumee on Tuesday July 17, 2012 from 11:00 am until the time of funeral services at 1:00 pm.
