Dorothy Davis passed away on February 6, 2026, surrounded by the love she spent a lifetime giving to others. She was born on October 4, 1938, in Williamsport, PA. Dorothy married her devoted husband, William Davis, and together they shared a life shaped by hard work, family, and countless happy memories for 57 years at the time of his passing in 2016.
Early in their marriage, Dorothy and William moved to Sheboygan, Wisconsin, after William accepted a job that came with a nickel-an-hour raise. They made Cheboygan their home until 1982, when they relocated to Toledo, Ohio, where Dorothy continued to pour her heart into her family and community.
Dorothy had a deep love for children and family, finding joy in time together, laughter, and play. A true child at heart, she delighted in games, toys, casino trips, and coloring, always approaching life with a happy spirit and an infectious smile. She loved Christmas and all the warmth, music, and magic the season brought.
A devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers, Dorothy cheered faithfully for her team. She also adored musicals, especially The Phantom of the Opera, White Christmas, and Mamma Mia.
Dorothy will be remembered for her kindness, her cheerful heart, and her ability to find happiness in simple pleasures. Her legacy lives on in her children, Curt Davis, Chris (Monique) Davis, Steve Davis, Cindy Adams, Bob Davis, Dan (Theresa) Davis, Jen (Pat) Pimentel, Maria (Tom) Stahl, and Brian (Kim) Davis; 25 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Brooks and Elizabeth Garland; husband, William Davis; sisters, Ethel Thursby, Evelyn Shank, Betty Kaufman; and grandson, Tommie Stahl.
