Dorothy O. Davenport

Dorothy O. Davenport, 87, of Maumee, OH, passed away Friday, February 13, 2009 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 30, 1921 in Washington, PA to Roy and Bessie Milstead Wolf. Dorothy was a dedicated homemaker and was also employed as a clerk for the Camp Perry Supply Division and the former Auto-Lite Company retiring in 1955. She was a former member of the Maumee United Methodist Church and Eastern Star. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, William Davenport, who she married December 23, 1943; children, Diane Robert Youngs of Findlay, OH, Michael Edie Davenport of Swanton, OH and Becky John Parks of Perrysburg, OH; grandchildren, Kirk Youngs, Jennifer Emil Yannelli, Buffy Terry Lewis, John III Betsy Parks, Veronica Steve Parks and Dawn Michael OKane; and 15 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Cheryl Suzette Davenport and grandson, Steven Ray Parks. Family and friends may visit Monday from 2-8 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Bowling Green, OH.
