Dorothy Colvin

Dorothy Colvin, 85, of Lakeside, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2008 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky. She was born in Lakeside, OH on February 16, 1923, the daughter of Peter and Mary Sceranko Mizla. Dorothy was a graduate of Danbury High School in 1941. On November 8, 1952 she married Dallas Colvin and he preceded her in death in 1994. Dorothy worked at Standard Products for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead, OH. Dorothy will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. She is survived by her Daughter: Mary Jane Bill Pickett of Columbia, MD; Grandson: Matthew Pickett and Fianc: Rebecca Potter of Columbia, MD; Granddaughter: Jessica Pickett of Baltimore, MD; Brother: John Margaret Mizla of Lakeside, OH and several loving nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by brothers: Pete, Lawrence Sam, Dan George and Frank Mizla and sisters: Emma Lukac, Mary Mizla and Clara Powers. Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8PM, Wednesday, March 26, 2008 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, Port Clinton, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial conducted by Father James Peiffer, will be held at 10:30AM, Thursday, March 27, 2008 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead, OH, where the body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Marblehead, OH. Memorial contributions in Dorothys memory can be given to Stein Hospice or St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead, OH.
