Dorothy Brezvai

Dorothy K. Brezvai, age 80 passed away peacefully holding hands with her two children on Tuesday, April 14th at Flower Hospital where she had been a patient for a week. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Dorothy was the daughter of Dr. Howard V. Knisley and Martha Metzger Knisley born on January 9th in Toledo, Ohio. She graduated from Morrison R. Waite High School and attended The Ohio State University. She married Martin Brezvai in 1949. Surviving are a son, Mark Brezvai of Toledo and a daughter, Martha Brezvai-Querfeld, son-in-law, David Querfeld and grandson, Mathew Querfeld of Michigamme, Michigan in the Upper Peninsula. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Dorothy lived a very active and full life while continuing to work until her 80th birthday. She was a fabulous mother and companion. Her favorite activities were cooking, baking, reading, quilting, sewing, puzzles, playing bridge and life in general. The last years of her life were made special by Maggie the cat. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee, OH. Visitation will start at 2:00 PM with a memorial service starting at 3:00 PM. The family would like to thank the Flower Hospital ICU staff and Doctors for all their wonderful care and support.
