Dorothy M. Bloom

Dorothy M. Loomis Bloom, 85, of Marengo, OH died Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at St. Anns Mt. Carmel, Westerville, OH. She was born on July 28, 1923 in Rootstown, OH to Clyde and Maude Jones Loomis. On March 24, 1943 in Ravenna, OH she married Clarence B. Bloom, and he preceded her in death on May 19, 1989. Dorothy worked as a homemaker and she attended LaPointe United Methodist Church. Dorothy enjoyed embroidery, reading, and she loved her birds. Survivors include: son: Thomas and wife Becky Bloom of North Ridgeville, OH; daughter: Cheryl and husband Col. Dan Tack of Marengo, OH; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother: Richard Loomis. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson: William Tack; sisters: Virginia and Verna; and brothers: Russell and Robert. Visitation will be Friday, October 10, 2008 from 2-8 p.m., with family present from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Oak Harbor. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 11, 2008 at the funeral home by 2nd Lt. CH C Bryan S. Kimble of the Ohio Army National Guard. Interment will be in Harris Township Union Cemetery, Elmore. The family suggests memorials for Dorothy to any hospice organization of your choice.
