Dorothy Billings

Dorothy B. (Hansen) Billings, age 92, of Walbridge, died Sunday, November 8, 2015. She was born in Walbridge, Ohio on April 13, 1923 to Fredrick and Vivian (Traver) Hansen. She attended Walbridge High School and graduated in 1941. Dorothy married Robert M. Billings on October 27, 1946 and he preceded her in death. She loved to cook and excelled in baking. Dorothy also loved sewing, knitting, playing cards and traveling. She was a great talker and was very friendly. Dorothy is survived by her loving family; children, Kay (Robert) Johnson, Robert (Claudia) Billings, Ronald (Sara) Billings, Donald (Debi) Billings; grandchildren, Ryan, Rob, Brad, Andrew, Carrie, Adriane, Wesley, Hunter; and seventeen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, and brother, Harold “Bud” (Dona) Hansen and parents, Fredrick and Vivian. Friends will be received on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main Street, Walbridge, Ohio (419-666-3121). A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Dorothy’s name may be made to Mainstreet Church 5465 Moline Martin Rd, Walbridge, Ohio.
