Dorothy A. Artz

Dorothy A. (Kalisik) Artz of Perrysburg, age 81, passed away March 19, 2014. She was born October 27, 1932 in Rossford, Ohio, to Stephen and Magdalene (Mistrik) Kalisik. On April 5, 1952, Dorothy married her loving husband of 61 years, Robert P. Artz, the love of her life, and he preceded her in death on June 25, 2013. She worked for Perrysburg Schools in food service for 20 years and was a member of Blessed John XXIII Catholic Church, Perrysburg. Dorothy was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She always put family first, which was very important to her. She will be deeply missed. She is survived by her five children, Robert N. Artz, Cynthia (Eric) Foster, Nancy (Michael) Stepnick, Michael Artz and Jeffrey (Sundae) Artz; 8 grandchildren, Andrew (Jen) Stepnick, Christy (Phil) Whitelaw, Emily Stepnick, Brok (Andrea) Foster, Brigham Foster, Allison, Kyle and Kaitlyn Artz; and 6 great-grandchildren, Maya and Elea Stepnick, Carly and Abby Whitelaw, Keevan and Brenton Foster; sister, Margaret Leonhardt; brothers, Frank Kalisik, and Albert (Beverley) Kalisik. Her sister, Elaine (Kalisik) Jackson and brothers, George and Steve Kalisik, preceded her in death. There will be no visitation. Funeral Services will be private at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 East South Boundary St. Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 (419-874-3133), followed by a private burial at Fort Meigs Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blessed John XXIII Catholic Church, Perrysburg, or the donor’s choice.
