Doris Ann Windisch

Doris Ann Windisch, age 86, of Oak Harbor, Ohio passed away with her loving family by her side on Friday, June 24, 2022 at her residence.  She was born on April 14, 1936 in Oak Harbor to Norman and Orlena (Nahs) Harder.  Doris married Walter Windisch on September 14, 1957, and he preceded her in death in 2020.  She worked as a secretary at Davis-Besse for 20 years and was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church in Rocky Ridge.  Doris taught Sunday School and Bible School and was active in the church choir.  She enjoyed playing cards, golfing, bowling, knitting and quilting.  Most of all, Doris loved spending time with her family.

Doris is survived by her daughters, Sue Ann (Steven) Tomor, Kathy Lynn (Richard) Bast and Ann Marie (Scott) Schimming; grandchildren, Allison (Jacob) Seim, Emily (Kevin) Young, Bradley (Kathryn) Perry, Leslie (Alec) Bowlick, Zachary Tomor, Hannah (Austin) Vinson; step grandchildren, Erica (Bryan) Laughlin and Rachel (Shaun) Yurista; great-grandchildren, Evelyn Bowlick, Kory Young, Ryan Seim, Daxton Bowlick, Kasey Young and Hudson Seim; step great-grandchildren, Stella Laughlin, Claire Laughlin, Cordell Laughlin, Carter Yurista and Caiden Yurista; sisters, Donna Genzman and Faye (Richard) Fastzkie.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, her parents and brother, John Harder.

The family would like to thank all of the caring staff at ProMedica Hospice for all their loving care and kindness they had for both Doris and the family.

Visitation will be held from 2:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 165 East Water Street, Oak Harbor, Ohio.  Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at St. John Lutheran Church Rocky Ridge, 450 N. Rocky Ridge Road, Oak Harbor, Ohio 43449. Interment will follow in Salem Township Union Cemetery in Oak Harbor.  Memorial contributions may be directed to ProMedica Hospice, 430 S. Main Street, Clyde, Ohio and St. John Lutheran Church Music Ministry Fund in Rocky Ridge.
