Doris A. Schultze of Woodville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012, in Mercy-St. Charles Hospital, Oregon, Ohio, at the age of 90. Doris was born to Edward and Lyla Schaller on August 27, 1922. She married her soul mate, Bernard, on February 10, 1945. After her marriage to Bernard, Doris worked a short time at Rossford Ordnance to help purchase their first home. She was then a lifelong, devoted, loving, and caring housewife and mother of three boys. Doris worked alongside her husband in all aspects of their farm operation, taking on any task that needed to be done. Doris loved her family and would do anything for them. She found much joy in watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up. Doris was a fighter and very strong-willed and she gave all she had. She may have lost the battle but she won the war. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Lyla Schaller, her husband of 65 years, Bernard, her sisters, Verna Luft, Irma Carl and Lucille Bockbrader, and brother, Dale Edward Schaller. She is survived by her three sons, Larry, Ronald Debbie and Roger Lori, all of Woodville, Ohio. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Jason Lori of Elmore, Shawn Jenny of Woodville, Nathan Hayley of Genoa, Sarah of Oak Harbor, Jeffrey Cindy of Bettsville, Chad Stefane of Metamora, Katlyn of Woodville, nine great grandchildren, with one on the way, and many nieces and nephews. Very special sisters-in-law also survive, Gurneth Berndt and Thelma Schaller. The family would love to thank Mercy-St. Charles Hospital for all their dedication and the love demonstrated in the care of Doris. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Friday, October 5, 2012, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, OH.
