Doris Rounds

Doris M. Rounds, 84, of Port Clinton, died Saturday, July 02, 2011 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center, Port Clinton. She was born on October 14, 1926 in Port Clinton to Walter A. and Mary K. Drusbacky Rounds. Doris worked for New Departure in Sandusky for over 25 years before retiring in 1986. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton and in her earlier years was a member of the Port Clinton Lions Club, Homer D. Gardner V.F.W. Post #2480 Auxiliary and the American Legion Post #113 Auxiliary. Doris also sang in the choir at church and she enjoyed Polka dancing. Doris is survived by her brothers: Richard E. Linda Rounds and Lowell T. Rounds both of Port Clinton, sister: Marcia Wieber of Port Clinton, and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, sisters: Irene Hopkins and Anne Fredericks, and nephew: Brad Wieber. Visitation will be from 2-8 PM, with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton, OH beginning with prayers recited at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Catawba Island Cemetery, Port Clinton. Memorial contributions in memory of Doris may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton.
