Doris M. Lorann

Doris M. Lorann 86, of Toledo died Wednesday August 5, 2009 at The Little Sisters of The Poor Care Center. The daughter of Stanley and Jessica Loesser Kenney, she was born November 30, 1922 in Toledo Ohio. A life long resident of Toledo she graduated from Scott High School in 1941. She held various positions through the years with the last 4 years spent at the Toledo and Washington Local School Districts before she retired in 1992. She was also active in the Foster Grandparents program. On September 2, 1950 she was married to John R. Lorann and he has preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters Jeanne Fish, and Carol Kriner; brother-in-laws Jim Fish, and Thomas Kriner; daughter Sharon Lorann; son Douglas Lorann; and grandchildren Kevin, Kyle, and Christopher Lorann. She is survived by her son James Kathy Lorann and her daughter Terrie Wayne Melzak. She is also survived by grandchildren James Lorann Jr., Amy Lorann, Jerry Lorann, Douglas Kristie Lorann Jr, Shane Lorann, Brian Lorann, Andrew Kristen Melzak, Amy Randy Morris and Aaron Melzak; step-grandchildren Crystal Jeremy Jones, Mathew Whiteford and Lynne Luft; great grandchildren Dominik, Alysa , Joshua, Jonathon, Madeline, Destiny, and Christain Lorann, Lillian Jones and Corbin Jones. A memorial service will be held at The Little Sisters of The Poor Care Center on Monday August 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. The family suggests memorials to The Little Sisters of The Poor.
