Doris Joan Kistler

Doris Joan “Sue” Kistler, age 85 of Maumee, Oh and formerly from Bellevue and Vermilion Ohio went to be with her loving Savior on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Elizabeth Scott Community. She was born March 30, 1930 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Wilbur H. and Marie (Hessert) Doenges and on March 12, 1950 she married John Albert Kistler who preceded her in death on September 1, 2009. Sue was best known for her love of God and her incredible smile which made everyone feel loved and valued. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her children and grandchildren. She took great pleasure in mentoring teenagers in weekly Bible studies alongside her husband John. She is survived by her children David (Teri) Kistler, Dianne (Greg) Fredrick, Denise (Steve) Wilson, Laurie (Greg) Martin and Kathleen (Tim) Arnold; 10 grandchildren as well as her brother, David (Beverly) Doenges. Although there will be no public viewing, Sue’s family will celebrate her life and the legacy she left for all she knew at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 21, 2015 with graveside services at Bellevue Cemetery.
