Doris A. Greer

Doris A. Greer 80, of Genoa, died early in the morning of Friday, July 19, 2019, in her home after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers. Doris was born December 10, 1938, in Oregon, Ohio, to Edward and Thelma A. (Hagemeyer) Neff. On April 24, 1955, in Trenton, GA, she married Larry Greer and he preceded her in death September 10, 2007. Doris was a former member of Heritage Baptist Church in Elmore. She was a homemaker, a loving wife and mother, who enjoyed gardening, crocheting and camping. But Doris especially enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Doris is survived by her sons, Robert (Darla) Greer of Perrysburg and David (Gwendolyn) Greer of Elmore, her daughters, Theresa (Rory) Jordan of Toledo and Tammy (Casey) Kaiser of Oak Harbor; 11 grandchildren, Monica Greer, Rachel Greer, Jason (Brandie) Greer, Satrinya Hensley, Brooke (Brandon) Berger, Nathan Overly, Cory Kaiser, Ashley Kaiser, Kristina Jordan, Jillian (Kent) Mosley and Jesse Jordan; 7 great grandchildren and one on the way: Hunter Greer, Emberlyn Stickles, Bryce, Ava, and Carly Chanthavong, Addisyn Greer and Emberly Ballenger. She is also survived by her brother, Jerry Neff as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Sylvia Runion, Kathleen Caswell, Evonne Shackelford and Diane Petersen, and brothers, Walter Neff and Edward Neff. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m., Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, where the funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place in Clay Township Cemetery following the service.
