Doris K Graetz

Doris Katherin Graetz, age 89, went to her heavenly home on July 4, 2011 from Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. Doris was born February 22, 1922 to Manford and Julia Ladd King in Fremont, IN. She and her husband, Don, moved to the Toledo area in the 1940s and Doris worked for Washington Local Schools as a cook and food service manager for many years. A longtime member of Westgate Chapel, Doris was devoted to the Lord. She loved crocheting and giving away her beautiful creations as gifts to friends and family. Doris loved to make her special cookies and give them out to various people and received the nick name Cookie Lady. Doris is survived by her children, Patricia William Loeffler and Harry E. Mirrium Graetz; and grandchildren, Chris and Cory Loeffler, Ethan Graetz, Sarah Adrian Velasquez, and Nathan Graetz; great grandchildren, Gabriella, Isabella and Dante Graetz, and Anthony Velasquez. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Don; and nine siblings. The family would like to extend a very sincere thank you to Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the loving care they provide. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8:00pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. where funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday. Interment will be private.
