Dorajo Anne Rusincovitch

Dorajo “DJ” Rusincovitch, 72, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio, following a brief battle with Sepsis. She was born on February 17, 1948 in Connersville, Indiana, to the late Estil and Phyllis (Martindale) O’Banion. On June 1, 1974 at St. John Lutheran Church in Port Clinton, she married James Rusincovitch and he survives. She graduated from Ohio University in 1970, and worked as a teacher at Perkins Jr. High, Fremont Ross High School, and at Port Clinton High School as a science teacher. She retired in 2007 after 28 years of teaching. DJ was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and a past member of Playmakers and the Port Clinton Yacht Club. DJ and Karen Messner hosted a radio show on WRWR “the coffee clutch”. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Jim; children, Erin (David) Arcaro, Kelly (John) Merth, Ryan Rusincovitch, Shannon (Daniel) Twining, and Mark (Maria) Rusincovitch; grandchildren, Tyler, Julie, Erica, Kendall, Emma, Nicholas, and Jacob; Three great-grandchildren; brother, Dale (Jane) O’Banion; and special caregiver, Holly Luzader. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sisters, Barbara Mullins and Sandra Pappas. Private Family Services will be conducted.
