Dora Baker

Dora A. (Ewing) Baker, 55, of Toledo, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital.  She was born in Montebello, CA to Earl W. and Lorraine (DesMarais) Ewing on December 3, 1963.  She was a graduate of Toledo Rogers High School.  Dora loved animals, baking, and the outdoors; especially camping.  She was caring and selfless and will be missed by all that knew her. Dora is survived by her son, Christopher McGovern, Jr.; mother, Lorraine Cotta; sister, Ada Ewing; brothers, Earl W. (Cheryl) Ewing, Jr., David A. (Tara) Ewing; former husband, Christopher McGovern, Sr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Baker; and father, Earl W. Ewing. Friends will be received on Monday, July 22, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, OH 43623 (419-841-2422).  Visitation will continue on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Heritage Baptist Church, 5542 Lewis Avenue, Toledo, OH 43612, until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions in Doras name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
