Donna Mae Wegman

Donna Mae Wegman, age 85, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014 at Perrysburg Commons. She was born on April 20, 1929 in Toledo, Ohio, to William and Margaret (Goerrson) Bennett. Donna was a Head Nurse at the former Riverside Hospital in Toledo, Ohio for 32 years and continued to be a part of the Nurses Association for many years. She was a past member of Bethel Lutheran Church until she retired to Newport Richey, Florida. Donna was an avid traveler; enjoyed reading and sewing, but her greatest joy was her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Connie (Dan) Lawrence; son, Marty (Jackie) Wegman; grandchildren, Kristy (Travis) Ogden; Nick (Kristi) Davis; Nate (Heather) Davis; Jason (Danielle) Wegman; 6 Step-grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and 15 step-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan and sister, Shirley Magrum. Friends and family will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio on Friday, July 11, 2014 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Restlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the humanitarian foundation for medical treatment: SCORE, 235 W. Wayne Street, Maumee, Ohio 43537.
