Donna J. Sanders

Donna J. Sanders, 81, of Martin, died Sunday afternoon, December 16, 2018, at Mercy-St. Charles Hospital in Oregon. She was born December 21, 1936, in Clay Center, Ohio, to Kenneth W. and Kathleen L. (Chandler) Schimmel. Donna had worked as a caregiver and prior to that worked in sales at the former Shamrock Motorsports and Honda East. She also worked as a magicians assistant. Donna enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and also loved to read, especially eclectic topics. Donna is survived by her daughter, Laurie Williams (Steve Winter), grandchildren, Daniel, Rachelle (Chad), Becca (Davis), Angelica, Zachary and Jonathan; sisters, Kathy Veeley and Norma Lutman; and brother, Ronnie (Carol) Schimmel. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Julius, Kenneth, Denny and Dale Schimmel. A graveside service will be held for Donna at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Lake Township Cemetery in Millbury. The family has requested memorials to be directed to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; or Wounded Warrior Project, 230 W. Monroe St. Suite 200, Chicago, IL 60606. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Genoa, has assisted the family with arrangements.
