Helen “Donna” Arlene (Wagner) (Aiken) Perez Donna Perez, 88, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on her mother’s birthday, Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Toledo to Everett and Helen (Bunce) Wagner on May 10, 1932. Donna worked many years at Libbey Glass before retiring in the late 1970’s. She was a frequent visitor of the casino, loved bingo, and enjoyed playing cards with her family. She was known for her beautiful smile and her “sparkly blue eyes”. Donna loved celebrating holidays, especially Christmas, with her family. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed dearly. Donna is survived by her daughters, Laura Detlef, Katherine Valerius; sons, Stanford (Linda), Glen (Lisa), Brian (Michelle) Aiken; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley (Jim) Cortez, Charlene Hargrove; stepsister, Gert Mitchell; numerous nieces and nephews; and family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Engelberto “Al” Perez; daughter, Frances Valerius; granddaughters, Niccole and Dawn Valerius; great-granddaughter, Alessandria Reed; brothers, Everett, Russell, Clarence, Thomas, and Richard Wagner, Herbert Parrish; and sisters, Sharon Fuller, Beverly and Barbara Wagner, and Juanita Nagy. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, March 13, 2021 beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home – Oregon, 3500 Navarre Avenue, Oregon, OH 43616 (419-691-6768), until the time of a Prayer Service at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
