Donna Lou Riehl

Donna Lou Riehl, 89, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky, Ohio. She was born on October 24, 1931 in Oak Harbor, Ohio, the daughter of the late Luther and Bernice (Leaser) Beck. She married William Laubacher on August 18, 1951 and he preceded her in death on September 1, 1973. She married Paul Riehl on January 25, 1986 and he preceded her in death in May 2011. Donna worked as a Teller at the Huntington National Bank in Port Clinton until her retirement in 1986. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton; member of the Ladies of the Elks; former member of the Port Clinton Yacht Club; former member of the Mothers of the Round Table; as well as being active in the Democratic Party where she worked on many Presidential campaigns. She enjoyed reading, working on crossword puzzles, painting with acrylics and oils, being an avid dog lover, but most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her son, Charles (Laurie) Laubacher, Amherst, Ohio; daughter, Cheryl (Chris) Petersen, Catawba Island; step-son, Ed (Colleen) Riehl, Commerce Twp., Michigan; step-daughter, Ellen (Charlie) Bush, Findlay, Ohio; grandchildren, William Petersen, Sarah (Kyle) Rhine, Erik (Joanna) Laubacher, Greg Laubacher; several step-grandchildren; great-granddaughters, Emma Rhine, Asia Laubacher; and nephew, James Laubacher. She was preceded in death by her parents and both of her husbands, brother, Richard Beck and nephew, David Beck. Burial and Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 12:30 pm at Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, Ohio with Fr. Jonathan Wight officiating. Masks are required and social distancing guidelines are to be observed.
