Donna J. Law

Donna J. Law, 66, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Mercy-St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, after an unexpected illness. She was the daughter of Marie M. (Basta) Eckard and was born in Queens, New York on March 30, 1956. She later moved to the Toledo area and made her home and raised her family.

Donna spent most of her career working in the food service industry as a prep cook for the former Ranch Restaurant in Oregon, Ohio, Marco’s Pizza and Kroger in Toledo. She was a great cook and looked forward to making large holiday meals for her family and friends.

For Donna, “family was over everything”, they were her reason for being. She made time every day to interact with her grandchildren, whether it be by phone, facetime or in person, she was a part of their lives. Family made her life complete!

Donna loved to game, and “Packman” was her favorite above all, the more she played, the more she wanted to win! She was also proficient at “Guitar Hero”. Animals also held a special place in her heart, especially her best K-9 friend, “Oscar”, who could always be found next to her feet waiting on her to pet him.

Donna is survived by her loving family, son, Alan (Mindi) Fisher, grandchildren, Dillon Ducat-Norwalk, Destinee Ducat-Norwalk, Alan Fisher, Jr., and Michelle Norwalk, great-grandson, Jack Edwards, sons, Joseph (Jennifer) Ingle, Donald Ingle, daughter, Marie, ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, sisters, Caroll Lewis, Barbara Braden, Tina Millhoan, and brother, Lewis (Genevieve) Eckard, special friend John Fenton, along with many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, Marie and Melvin Eckard, and grandparents, Paul & Helen Sill, Minnie & Joseph Basta.
