Donna J. Preston

Donna J. Preston, 87, of Sylvania, passed away peacefully at her home on March 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Green Springs, OH on March 28, 1937, to Dewey and Grace (Craig) Hessick. Donna was a 1955 graduate of Green Springs High School and worked for many years as a box office manager at the Stranahan Theatre. She loved traveling, baking, reading, gardening, and taking daily walks. She could be found cheering on her favorite, The Ohio State Buckeyes, any chance she could. Her family was her true passion in life, always wanting to be close and keep in touch with each other. Donna was married to her high school sweetheart, William Preston, for over 59 years before his passing. She had a warm and caring spirit that made everyone around her feel special and loved.

Donna will be dearly missed by three sons; two daughters; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and countless extended family members and friends.

Services for Donna will be held privately. Those wishing to make a memorial donation are asked to consider Heartland Hospice. Arrangements were entrusted to Walker Funeral Home, Toledo.
